In general a member can book any slot on a time sheet.

There are times when slots are reserved.
For example,
When course maintenance is being carried out
When inter club matches are being played
When slots are reserved for major competitions like the Captain's prize

On a day to day basis you may see slots marked as "Open Competition".
If there is a space in those slots and you need to use it then you can. Those slots appear on the time sheet because they are the only mechanism that we have to allow members from other clubs to book in to our open competitions online.

You may also see all "Competition" slots full and the only available slots are not marked as being part of the competition. As a member you may still use those unmarked slots and still enter the competition.
